DOC Inmate Search

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections provides a platform on its website where you can locate an inmate. To search, visit the offender locator, which has information on all offenders and inmates incarcerated in state correctional institutions. Details concerning juvenile inmates and offenders in country jails are not available on the state prisoner lookup. To initiate the search, enter the inmate's name, DOC number, and date of birth and run the search. The results from the search include inmate's bookings, date of birth, gender, physical description, crime committed, facility incarcerated, bond amount, release date, court date, and arrests.

Alternatively, you can use the Vine link (Victim Information and Notification Every day), which provides details on the offender's movements. The DOC partners with VINElink to offer crime victims up-to-date information on the offender's whereabouts. You can use the offender's name or DOC's number to initiate the search. In addition, VineLink sends notifications to victims when an offender is given parole, released from custody, or escapes prison. To get search alerts, you must register with VineLink.

Jail Inmate Search

Oklahoma jails house persons sentenced to less than one year in a county or city jail. The country jails operate under the management of the sheriff's office, while the local police department serves the city jails. Therefore, you can conduct a free inmate search by name by looking up the online jail roster or offender list. For better results, you must provide the inmate's name and ID to initiate the search.

Death Row Search

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections lists death row offenders on its website. The law was put into place in 1915 by the Oklahoma legislature. The initial way for carrying out the execution was electrocution. However, the Supreme Court thought it unconstitutional and introduced lethal injection. Oklahoma Department of Corrections uses the Oklahoma State Penitentiary to conduct the execution. To find out if a loved one is on death row, visit the death row list website, which currently has 43 offenders.

Sex Offender Lookup

Oklahoma Department of Corrections requires that all sex and violent offenders register with the department upon release or entry into the state. The sex and violent offender registration unit gathers all details on sex offenders and violent offenders in the state. Under the Oklahoma Open Records Act, the public can access and obtain information managed by governmental agencies within the state.

The National Sex Offender Public Website, operated by the United States Department of Justice, contains information on sex offenders in the state. Therefore, if you want to find sex offenders living around you, you can search for them on the website by location or by name. Alternatively, you can obtain the sex offender registry from third-party websites. The privately owned websites contain data from public databases and repositories. However, the details found on the third-party sites may vary since they are independent of government sources. To use third-party websites, you may be required to provide several details, such as the full name and address.

Locating an ICE Detainee

Finding a loved one in ICE custody may be stressful, especially if you have no idea how to go about the whole process. Fortunately, you can use the Online Detainee Locator System to find them. However, the locator tool can only provide details concerning detainees aged 18 years and above. Therefore, if the detainee is a juvenile, you must contact the local field offices to find out the detainee's whereabouts. The ICE provides two main searchable options which you can use; search by A-Number and search by biographical information. You should note that the A-Number has nine digits; if it has fewer numbers, you should add zeros at the beginning. In addition, you should remember to include the country of birth in both searches.
